Rustiest Corolla Ever.

The best kind of Corolla, maybe.

Keith’s AE86 is a good reminder that low-cost cool cars are still out there; you just have to look for them. It’s a great example of a car that is not in mint condition but still has the potential to possess a particular cool factor regardless.

Keith went on quite the adventure to get his hands on this AE86. From his dad finding the Corolla on a Craigslist page for a tiny and obscure island three ferry rides away from the mainland, to actually making the trek out to retrieve the car, Keith put in the legwork that is required these days to rescue a barn find of a platform that is getting increasingly harder to get into for a low price.

Once the car was home it took less than forty-eight hours for Keith to dig into the car and get it running as well as get it properly styled with some custom suspension to drop it closer to the ground and some cool old SSR wheels that fit the car near perfectly.

Hopefully, this inspires some of you reading this to start digging around on weird (but hopefully not TOO weird) Craigslist pages in hopes of finding a cheap way of getting into your dream platform.
