“Is your car running?” After almost 2 years of being in project car limbo, it finally is – so you better go catch it.
As a member of our team at Checkpoint, we have the pleasure of documenting the progress of Sandra and her 1989 R32 Nissan Skyline GTST. It has been an exciting journey watching her bring this car back to life, and I am thrilled to announce that not only is the engine back in the bay and in working order, but we were able to take the car out for a quick shakedown to celebrate the New Year!

Sandra has put a lot of time, effort, and energy into restoring this Skyline, and it truly shows. The engine bay looks great in its bright pink. Though there is some work to be done still before the Skyline can safely hit the streets, it was great being able to shake the car down and sort out what needs to be addressed next.

In addition to the engine, Sandra has also been working on the body of the Skyline. The body itself is in good shape, but the paint has seen better days. She’s still deciding what colour she wants to paint the car, and working on creating a full, final vision before moving forward.

She has been researching various paint colours and exploring all of the different options for bumpers, aero, wheels, and other parts. I have no doubt that she will make a great decision. With her keen eye for detail, I trust that she will make Skyline look stunning.

Stay tuned for more updates on Sandra’s Skyline build.
