In a shocking turn of events, our group of longtime friends experienced a rare occurrence – all of our cars being on the road together for the first time in years. It was a momentous occasion for all of Checkpoint, except for Sandra, who was enjoying her adventurous life in Japan (you’ll be seeing more from her soon). We decided to embark on a short but fun drive to a local golf course so we could smash some balls at the driving range.
We called up a few of our friends, who once again turned out to be our discord moderators (speaking of which, you can join that here: https://discord.gg/Dzc9gDgcdu). Cole drove Dylan’s Celica Supra, Paul brought out his outrageous first-generation Mazda RX7, and Josh rode shotgun.
As we all left Dylan’s neighbourhood and drove to the driving range it was a good reminder to us why we love cars so much and why we love living car life together as a community. The site of a handful of stance cars and vintage Japanese cars in an upscale place like a golf course brought a bit of comedic value, and we had a blast watching Cole scream “OVER THE FENCE” as he demonstrated brute force with the driver.
When the night finally came to a close we were all left with a feeling that this summer was going to be a good one.
